Lollapalooza, Singapore

Identity design. An elegant mark for a luxury fine wine and food importer in Singapore based on an eight-petaled flower (a very lucky number in Chinese culture). This is designed to work alone, but also tessellates perfectly to create an intricate and beautiful pattern for extended use.

 

Black Soul Strangers, Animate

I worked with Berlin based photographer Johanna Ruebel on this record sleeve, directing the shoot from London via Skype.

 

Art Brut, Bang Bang Rock & Roll

The band were tired of the usual distressed, sketch-book looking sleeves of their indy band contemporaries so they came to me for a colourful pop-art alternative.

 

Paul Smith, R.Newbold S/S 07 look-book

R.Newbold is a Japanese streetware range from Paul Smith. My inspiration for this look-book came from the clothing range itself — English country walking with an urban twist. Photography by Richie Hopson.

This was my second album campaign for this band commissioned by Sony BMG. I worked with illustrator and print-maker Joel Clifford to create all the artwork by hand before scanning and photographing to composit digitally.

I commissioned textile designer Claire Simmonds (no relation) to hand-make all the sleeves for this limited edition version of the single.

 

Hope Of The States, The Lost Riots

My first album campaign with long-term collaborators, Hope Of The States. The lyrics for each song are set in and amongst medical annotations for various organs and body-parts. Anatomical illustrations by Joel Clifford.

 

Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies, Hurrah…

This is a re-release, my work for the original included a poster with a graphic score of the entire record. I re-worked that artwork to make unique new imagery for this remix release.
